Be part of the inaugural Pam Golding Hangklip Marathon
The Pam Golding Hangklip Marathon is a scenic out-and-back adventure from Kleinmond to Betty's Bay along the dramatic cliffs of Clarence Drive, finishing where it began at the beautiful Kleinmond Lagoon.
The half marathon will head out towards Betty's Bay from Kleinmond and turn around at Sea View, finishing along Beach Avenue, Kleinmond, to the lagoon.
Hosted by the Hangklip Athletics Club and headline-sponsored by Pam Golding Properties, the 2026 race is an officially seeded qualifier for the 100th running of the Comrades Marathon in 2027.

The Pam Golding Hangklip Marathon is an officially seeded qualifying race for the historic 100th running of the Comrades Marathon in 2027. It will also serve as a qualifying event for the 2027 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon.
Runners are encouraged to verify the latest qualifying criteria at comrades.com before race day.
An out-and-back marathon along Clarence Drive — one of the most scenic coastal roads on the planet — with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Kogelberg Biosphere on the other.
Start: Kleinmond Jukskei Klub, Amandelboom Laan, Kleinmond.
Finish: Kleinmond Lagoon.
There will be NO road closure for this event. Runners must run along the left side of the road for the full out-and-back route and adhere to all traffic regulations at all times.
Full sweep fleet covers the route end-to-end.

The Kleinmond Lagoon picnic area will serve as the race village for the marathon and half marathon. This is where you will finish the very first ever Pam Golding Marathon and Half Marathon. Lots of fun and activities are planned for the day.
